MOST® (Maynards Operation Sequence Technique) is a pre-determined motion time study system that increases output from the industrial engineering/work study department and enables efficient and accurate time standards to be generated for payment/incentive and costing purposes as well as automatically analysing manufacturing methods.

The Concept of MOST®

Work is defined as the product of force time distance more simply: "Work is the displacement of a mass of object".  All basic units of work are organised for the purpose of accomplishing some useful result by simply Moving object(s). This concept is the basis for MOST® Sequence Models.  The primary work units are no longer basic motions.  They are fundamental activities dealing with the entire event of moving one or several objects from one location to another".  These systems are described in terms of basic parameters, or sub-activities, that are fixed in an activity sequence".  Consequently, the basic "move object" pattern is described by a universal sequence model instead of detailed and independent motions.

TEL-Data

TEL-Data is a computer based data handling system specifically designed for the MOST® measurement systems, it runs in a Windows based environment, and allows the rapid construction of data blocks/work standards. it gives the flexibility to move data from structure to structure and allows for the rapid copying of similar jobs that need simple adjustments thus reducing the time scales needed in standards construction.

Levels of data have no limits as layer upon layer can be created, starting from the basic motion sequences through to operations, sub-operations, parts analysis, sub-assemblies and final assemblies, these again allow rapid standards generation and estimate development with full traceability.

The system allows for hard copy reports to be produced, either in our standard format or to your own in-house design. Data can also be down-loaded or by electronic transfer to other corporate systems such as M.R.P. or Accounting Packages.

The system being Windows based, is extremely user friendly and its powerful potential is easy to learn.

TIMES

TIMES is a synthetic data blocking system designed to create process times for virtually any operation that has a defined method laid down, it can also be used as a tool for comparison of different methods or for developing new methods, for lean manufacturing engineers it proportions the work to added value and non added value automatically thus highlighting potential areas for improvement. Data is based on a Predetermined Motion Time System (PMTS)
