Maxi-MOST® - PT11
2 Days

Maxi-MOST® for Long, Variable Work Cycles.
Maxi-MOST® was developed to cover long cycle operations with a high degree of cyclic variation.  A cycle time of 20 minutes would be typical.  Work situations to which Maxi-MOST® may be applied would include heavy assembly, heavy machining, process industries and maintenance functions.|

As with Basic MOST®, the technique analyses work through the movement of objects.   However, this technique was required to absorb a comparatively large amount of method variation whilst still maintaining a practical method description.

To facilitate this three truncated motion, sequences were developed covering parts handling, tool handling and machine handling.

Due to their brevity, these sequences do not convey the degree of method detail that is achieved with Basic MOST®.  Instead, the technique employs a rigid form of sentence construction to supplement its motion sequences.  Apart from the sequence design, the main differences are as follows:-

1.    A distinction is made between walking in clear non restricted spaces when establishing
indices for the Distance parameter 'A' (Action Distance) covers the "round trip" to get an
object on quantity of objects and return to the work site.

2.    The "Body Motion" parameter 'B' covers all body motions.   Index values are provided for
combinations of body motions as well as single body motions.

3.    Objects moved are indexed by the number of objects.  The degree of difficulty is related to a
"keyword" carrying a distinct definition within the technique.

4.    The Index Multiplier, to convert index values to time measurement units, is 100 instead of 10.

Who Should Attend          Delegates to be trained in Maxi-MOST® must have successfully
                                          completed a Basic MOST® Course.
